Pet Sematary (1989)

Hulu Release Date: 1st October

When you think of Horror, it is almost imposable to forget about Stephen King, he has been at the forefront of the Horror genre for years with many famous titles. Kings most recent film adaptation was ‘It’, which has become the highest grossing horror film of all time, even surpassing the Exorcist. But don’t forget about some of his older adaptations, including the 1989 film Pet Sematary which follows a family who moves into a seemingly perfect house, apart from the creepy graveyard in the forest just behind them.

Carrie (2002)

Hulu Release Date: 1st October

Following two previous adaptations of Stephen King’s novel ‘Carrie’ came a made-for-television film released in 2002. The plot stayed pretty similar to the original and once again followed Carrie White who is slowly driven to insanity by her classmates, and her true telekinetic powers are unleashed, to devastating effect. Although the 2002 film is not quite held in the same regard as the classic 1976 movie, it is still a great watch for the 31st.

It’s been 20 years since Laurie Strode last escaped the clutches of Michael Myers. She is now the Dean of a California private school, but even a fake identify couldn’t keep Michael away, and he retunes to terrorize his sister Laurie and her son, John. The film is the third in the ‘Halloween’ franchise and even though it’s not the original, many fans have regarded it as a great sequel. Find out for yourself.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)

Hulu Release Date: 1st October

The 1978 remake of the ‘Invasion of the Body Snatchers’ is often regarded as one the best alien invasion movies of all time and is a classic Horror/Sci-Fi. The film takes place in the city of San Francisco and focuses on Matthew Bennell and his group of friends. They slowly start to realise that people are being taken one by one and replaced with clones who are devoid of emotions. Great performances and an excellent story make this classic 70s horror unmissable, especially now it is streaming on Hulu.
